Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to switch feeds or buy specific brands?
No. I prioritize working with brands you already have whenever possible and provide options so you can choose what works best for you.
I am an independent equine nutrition specialist, which means I am not associated with any particular brand.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Reach out to schedule your free discovery call. I am also available through texting and emails—whatever works best for you.
What makes you different?
I am not associated with any particular feed or supplement brand, I only suggest what is best for each individual horse & their needs.
Some big companies may offer “free” feed program analyses, those are not nearly as in-depth as the programs I offer.
I never “eye-ball” or use AI to evaluate or create feed programs for your horse. I use real data, math, and critical thinking skills for every client. You will never find me using a shortcut in any of my programs.
I bring to the table real life experience with horses, working with vets, professional certification in equine nutrition, as well as additional hours of advanced coursework in equine nutrition and holistic equine nutrition.
Do you use specific guidelines for analyzing and creating feed programs?
Yes. All recommendations are based on the National Research Council nutrient requirements for horses, combines with practical, real-world feeding strategies.
Are you a veterinarian?
No. I am not a veterinarian and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. I specialize in equine nutrition and work alongside your veterinarian when needed.
Will you work with my vet or farrier?
Absolutely. Collaboration is key—especially for horses with metabolic issues, ulcers, allergies or performance concerns.
Can you help me save money on my feed bill?
Many clients save money by eliminating unnecessary supplements and improving feeding efficiency. I try to save you money whenever possible.
If I already feed a good feed, would I still benefit from one of your programs?
Even high-quality feeds don’t guarantee a balanced total diet. The entire ration (hay + feed + supplements) must be evaluated together.
Do I need a hay analysis?
It’s highly recommended for the most accurate results but not required. I can still create a strong program using averages and available data.
